Hi everyone! The launch date for Real Sweet is just around the corner on this Tuesday, March 17th. What-whaaaat…?! So great. And kind of insane. So as the date approaches, I wanted to let you know about some upcoming book events and a big, exciting book launch giveaway, all coming your way in just a couple of days.
First! Let’s talk about the book itself. You can still get in on a great pre-order deal if you order before March 17th! The online price is exceptionally good right about now on Amazon, in addition to there now being a “Look Inside” feature available, which gives you an even closer look at what’s in the book. (Recipes like the epic maple-sweetened Black-and-White Pancake Cake, Coconut Sugar Banana Sheet with Caramelized Coconut Sugar Frosting seen above, and Orange Blossom Honey and Walnut Toffee aren’t in the preview, but hey, it gives us something to look forward to!). And (jazz hands–BONUS! BONUS! BONUS!) if you pre-order, you’ll be able to lock in that discounted price. For pre-ordering, you will also get my undying love. So think about it, is what I’m saying.
Second! If you pre-order Real Sweet before the release, or purchase the book in the first two weeks, you’ll have a chance to get in on a seriously awesome celebratory giveaway. All the details about that super sweet/kind of major prize package are coming on Tuesday the 17th, so be sure to watch this space for that.
Third! I want to meet you! So far we have a few book events set up in the Bay Area, and will have more in other cities on the calendar very soon. Wednesday, March 18th at 3:00 p.m./The San Francisco Flower and Garden Show/San Mateo Convention Center: I’ll be doing a baking demo on the Kitchen Garden Stage, “Getting Real Sweet with Honey”, and there will most definitely be cake. Five Flavors Party Cake to be exact, and Caramelized Honey and Sea Salt Ice Cream. You know how we do. Book signing to follow!
Saturday, March 21st at 12:30 p.m.: Book signing at Book Passage at the Ferry Building, San Francisco. Plus cookies. Lots.
Sunday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m.: Book signing and samples at the Montclair Village Farmers’ Market in Oakland, sponsored by A Great Good Place for Books. More cookies! Possibly brownies! YES.
Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 a.m.: Demo and signing at Whole Foods Napa, in their fabulous Culinary Center, in partnership with Copperfield’s Books. There will most definitely be cake at this one. You can watch me make it, and then we’ll all scarf it together. And then we’ll talk and sign books. It will be awesome.
