***The giveaway is now closed. Happy Holidays, all!***

Hello, hello! I hope you’re all enjoying a lovely holiday season. I’m up to my neck in testing seasonal recipes for my next book, all about the wonderful world of Midwestern baking, and time is flying. But I wanted to pop in, say hello, remind you that I post on Instagram much more often than I post here because it’s all I have the capacity for these days, and give you a little reminder about snagging copies of my books for holiday gifts!

As luck would have it, Real Sweet is currently out of stock on Amazon (two weeks before Christmas, hahahaha! HILARIOUS!) and it will likely take another couple days to get copies in and available for you. If you’re willing to order anyway, Amazon is usually super quick about dealing with backorders, and I thank you for your patience. Copies of both Marshmallow Madness! and Pure Vanilla are locked and loaded and ready to come your way. Of course, there are also plenty of other options, like third-party sellers through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Indie Bound, and my favorite–visiting your beloved, local brick-and-mortar independent bookstore.

If you’re a monogamous Amazon lover, however, and are disappointed at the lack of stock through that channel at the moment (and I feel you, I really, really do), I’d like to make up for it and offer you something all on my own.

As a nice opportunity to add a bit of flair to a gift for yourself or your favorite baker, I’m giving away THREE signed, personalized copies of Real Sweet, and ONE triple volume set of all three of my titles. Fa-la-la-la-la…!!!

(As a child of the 80s, the term “triple volume set” makes me feel like I’m advertising a set of hits from Journey, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Boston, and more, on three cassettes for $19.99 or 2 compact discs for $24.99, plus $3.00 shipping and handling, no CODs. But unfortunately, I’m not Steve Perry. I’m just a cookbook author who hates that one of my books is out of stock on Amazon right before Christmas, realizes this is actually a champagne problem, but I want to spread a little holiday cheer to make up for it anyway.)

If you’re interested in one of these copies of Real Sweet or the **Triple! Volume! Set, set, set!** of all three of my current titles, simply leave a comment below telling me about the gift you’re most looking forward to giving this year. Love you all.

For this giveaway, I’ll ship anywhere in the whole dang world, and sign the books however you like–we’ll talk about that when you win. I’ll even tie things up with a little bow and a note if you want to ship it as a gift directly to someone. Really! The only thing is that entries must be received by Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. CST. Leave your email address in your comment or on the comment form–winners will be selected at random and contacted directly, and the information will self-destruct after the giveaway closes. Thank you!

  • We’re most excited about giving our daughter a sofa for her first house for Christmas! She just bought her first little house and is sitting on lawn chairs in her living room so we know she’s going to love it!

  • Hi!
    What a great opportunity!
The gift I’m looking forward the most to give is meeting my cousin again after 20 years. Now I’ll be able to travel to meet him and it’ll be special!!!

  • Merry Christmas!!!! I would love to win one of your cookbooks!! My husband “lost” a bunch of my cookbooks when we moved and any one of these would be a great addition to re-start my collection because I love to bake!!

  • Does it count if it’s a gift to myself!? I invested in a KitchenAid Pro mixer and am so excited about it!

  • Merry Christmas Shauna! How sweet of you to make this offer! The gift I am most looking forward to giving this year I’ve already given – a giant box of home baked goodies sent to my 3 remaining siblings. I used recipes from our childhood that bring back tons of recipes. It’s a great way to reminisce & share smiles as well as fill our tummies with lots of yummy sweets!

  • First of all, I just woke up to an email from Food52 featuring your cookie brittle recipe. Yay!

Secondly, I am currently excited to give each of my two kids a Pusheen stuffie dressed in a Santa hat drinking a mug of hot cocoa. We are big fans of Pusheen and they are going to be so happy!

  • Is it fair to enter if I already own all three books? I would share the love and give the winning copies as gifts. Technically it’s from Santa, but I am totally excited to give my daughter a dollhouse.

  • I am most excited to give my son a cute turtle shirt he’s been wanting, and a limited edition plush pokemon that he saw. He really loves animals.

  • My daughter is the director of a non profit in Iowa City that empowers, inspires, and educates Iowa’s youth through language arts . While at an Art Festival, my husband and I found a photograph of a very young girl holding a book to her chest. It is by a Chicago photographer and it is stunning in it’s simplicity and beauty. We can hardly wait to give this gift to our daughter.

Happy Holidays Shauna ! I love seeing you on the Today Show and The Kitchen. Hoping for more appearances in 2018 !!!

  • I’m looking forward to giving my daughter a fantastic Christmas (shes almost 4). This will be her last Christmas as an only child, as her brother is due Feb 1st.

I’m super excited for the chance to win these books. My daughter loves baking with mommy on the weekends, and is quickly becoming an expert! 🙂

  • my husband and I deliver Operation Blue Santa gifts to folks who otherwise wouldn’t have a Christmas. Seeing the faces when we deliver the gifts is priceless. That is what I’m most looking forward to this year – playing Santa!

  • I’m most looking forward to giving my mom and brother’s gifts. I was unemployed this time last year and couldn’t afford anything so I am thrilled that I can this year.

  • How sweet of you! 🙂 Merry Christmas to you and your family, Shauna!! The gift I am most looking forward to give is a blanket that every member of my family helped create for my mom. It’s a simple Flannel tied blanket but my adult children, my grandchildren, my hubby and I all helped put it together for her. We hope it brings her some comfort and warmth during this Christmas holiday, as it’s the first Christmas without my dad, who recently passed away.

  • Merry Christmas! Aside from seeing the excitement of our kids faces on Christmas morning, my husband and I are excited to gift cutting boards we made for all the ladies who love to cook in our lives! Each one is uniquely different!

  • A framed picture for my husband of our first trip with our son. Hopefully he likes it as much as I do!

  • My son is moving to CA from NY and is currently on the way via car (road trip!). Looking forward to his arrival & settling in, and starting a new chapter. Best gift is being able to unconditionally love and support him!

  • Super excited to gift my sister some gorgeous products from Primally Pure skincare!

  • My son-in-law loves my pickled jalapeños. I’m canning him a year supply. He’s going to be so surprised… and happy! 🙂 The gift that money can’t buy.

  • My husband and I do not exchange gifts. We like to give to the Senior center and local animals sanctuaries. Giving to home bound seniors and animals in need is always my favorite.

  • I have the perfect friend to give this to!

  • This year has been a struggle for finding gifts for people, unfortunately, however my favorite gift this year so far is the box of woodworking books for my husband, he has long mentioned wanting to start this fun hobby and I hope he does indeed like the gift!!

  • I’m always excited to give my two grandsons some of the toys on their wishlist. My seven-year-old grandson loves board games and my three-year-old grandson loves animal toys.

  • The gift I’m most looking forward to giving this year is a quilt for my mom. She makes so many gifts for everyone in the family, and she deserves to have something made just for her as well.

  • Well first of all, Merry Christmas! This is an exciting giveaway. I guess the gift I’m most excited about giving this year would be a BeyBlades game to my granddaughter. She has asked for this every year now for 3 years. Each Christmas and birthday and she has not received it. The look on her face this year writing her letter to Santa asking yet again and saying she will probably not get it but that it was ok if Santa couldn’t get one to her this year either. So I am very excited to see her unwrap this gift. Thank you for this chance. And a very Merry Christmas to you. And I hope you get those radiators repainted without too much mess.

  • looking forward to giving my dad a new camera lens!

  • I’m so excited to give my littler sister who’s away for college a personalized calendar filled with pictures of her cat at home! It’s hard for her to be away from him, so this will be a little gift that will help her feel not so far away!

    Merry Christmas!!

  • I am looking forward to giving my family and friends hand knit scarves.

  • Can’t wait to give my husband the most romantic gift ever—-a Subaru rear seat/cargo protector! He’ll never guess it!

  • I always love getting gifts for our neices. We only get to see them once a year (if that!) because they live in Canada. They are such good girls and so appreciative of any present, so I make sure they get something they will really like.

  • I love opening the gifts from my kids. From my youngest, it is always something that he made at school and I love seeing the time and effort he put into it. (Especially because with school work it is usually rushed, but with the gifts he really does take his time). From my older ones, they always take their own money to go shopping, but it always still amazes me about how giving they are.

    • Forgot to add that as far as giving, I love giving gifts to my kids and seeing their reaction because of the time they put into picking out gifts for my husband and I.

  • We don’t exchange gifts, however, we share time together celebrating the holidays. Going to the candlelight Christmas Eve service at our church is the best gift of all.

  • The joy of seeing my kids enjoy the Christmas time with family

  • I’m most excited about giving my daughter a Baby Born doll. She will become a big sister thus summer so she’s been all about babies since finding out the news. She’s also my little helper in the kitchen so these books would be put to great use!

  • The gift I’m most excited to give is a round of golf in Florida to my husband. He deserves it and his birthday is on Christmas Day!

  • I am looking forward to giving my Mom her gift. I can’t say specifically. She is on Facebook too!

  • The gift I am most excited about this year is what I am giving myself – an expanded commitment to give more service in the coming year – to family, friends, my community and wherever I am inspired. I’ve already begun… #LightTheWorld

  • Hi Shauna!
    Merry Christmas to you!

  • I’m giving a gift certificate to my granddaughter to the new Jump Start Adventure Park that’s opening soon. Can’t wait!
